| When Vulcan returned from St. Louis there was talk of putting him on Red Mountain or downtown in Capital Park. Neither worked out, so he seemed to fit at the fairgrounds, home of the Alabama State Fair. He was used to display advertising signs. (Can't really tell if that's one in this picture). He also was clothed in giant overhauls as an ad for a local maker. He did provide a good meeting place at the fair. This card was mailed in 1908, published by International Post Card Co. |
