Postcard Birmingham Transportation L&N Station 1887-1961

The Louisville and Nashville Railroad built and opened this station February, 1887. this was Union Station was used by all railroad's passenger trains until 1907, when Terminal Station was opened. The Louisville & Nashville Railroad continued continued to use this station until 1960 when it moved into a smaller station built one block west. The inscription between the shed arch and building reads "Birmingham Passenger Station".

This station was demolished and replaced by the Bank for Savings Building (now Two North Twentieth) that was completed in 1962.

The color card was printed byH-H-T-Co and the other was printed by E.C. Kropp, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
