1955 Curteich postcard looking north up 20th Street from the railroad overpass. L&N ticket office sign can be made out at left edge. Building just beyond is the Metropolitan Hotel. The middle is a December, 2006 photo. Right is a circa 1952 chrome "Plastichrome"by Colourpicture, Boston, Massachusetts. The card at right is of interest because it shows a couple of Birmingham's "trackless trolleys". These rubber tired electric buses ran off overhead wires formerly used by streetcars.
