| The
old Birmingham City Hall opened in 1901. It was severly damaged by
fire in 1925, destroying the downtown library located there on the fourth floor. The card at top was postmarked 1906 and published by Souvenir post Card company, N.Y. The color card, circa late 1920's, was published by Ehlers' News and printed by Tichenor. The photo shows the 1925 fire. In the post card view we see the building was restored without its towers. |
