The first Wigwam Village opened in 1933 in Horse Cave, Kentucky.  It was the first of a chain of seven.  Number 5 was on the Bessemer Super Highway (U.S.11) between Birmingham and Bessemer.  As of 2006, the second still operated in Cave City, KY.  The large teepees were constructed of concrete.  The two small teepees on either side of the large office were public restrooms.
The top and middle cards were printed by E.C. Kropp, circa 1940.

The middle card is a less common ground level view from the road.

The card at bottom left, printed 1941 by CurTeich,  was apparently intended to be a generic card available to all seven Wigwams Notice it carries the identity of the Birmingham Wigwam in the card margins and the back caption carries information specific to Birmingham.
