| An early 1960's chrome
postcard of Motel Birmingham. That's Howard Johnson with the orange
roof and in the back appears the then new Putnam School. Across the road
to the right a portion of the soon to be demolished Starlite Drive In is
visible. Much of Motel Birmingham's former property is taken up by more modern multi-story chains. The sign and a small portion remain, but one day, the sign will be gone. |
