The circa 1940 linen
postcard view at left is the typical uninspired vertical of a large
hotel. Occasionally a vertical would have smaller views of the interior
inset or even a map. Card published by E.C. Kropp. The middle photo is the aftermath of the partial implosion demolition in 1974. Next is the Regions Bank Building that replaced the Tutwiler.
The 450 room Tutwiler Hotel, under construction

the recently renovated Ridgely Apartment Building.
