Florida beach architecture came to Birmingham with the Parliament House, shown here in a 1960's view.  City center hotels were well into decline.   The Parliament House was built on corner of 5th and 20th Street South, at the edge of UAB campus and medical center complex.  Published by the Parliament House.

January, 2007 ses the property vacant and likely to be recycled into a UAB medical center facility.
