The first YWCA permanent building was at 7th Avenue and 19th Street North.

The YWCA purchased and refurbished the Dixie Carlton Hotel (formerly Birmingham Athletic Club, built 1925) in 1948. 2007 sees the YWCA remaining at the 23rd. Street location after finishing a major renovation in 1999. source-http://www.ywcabham.org/About/history

The first card appears to be an artist rendering, complete with a fanciful rooftop garden added. Caard published by the Post Card Exchange, Birmingham, postmarked 1912. The next card, based on a photograph was postmarked 1913, publisher not stated. Card at bottom is the former Dixie Carlton hotel site, printed by Alabama Post Card, Bessemer, circa mid 1950's.
